MISSION STATEMENT

Unicamp is a Unitarian Universalist camp that is committed to providing a safe and welcoming seasonal camp and spiritual retreat to a diverse community. Our high quality Unitarian Universalist values-based programs and activities are designed to enable this community to demonstrate a respect for our natural assets, for each other, and for the interdependent web of all existence.

Unicamp is located within the UNESCO Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve and boasts 50 beautiful, peaceful acres of meadows, coniferous and deciduous forests, marshes, streams, caves and a 5-acre spring fed pond with two beaches. Unicamp is a place to relax, explore, meet new people and re-connect with self, community and nature. We are open May to October and offer scheduled programming from June to September.

Unicamp is a non-profit camp that prides itself on providing a caring community and environment for families and individuals of all ages. We at Unicamp promote and demonstrate respect and nurturing for all living things. Unicamp is a facility for retreat and recreation for Unitarian Universalists and others who adhere to similar values regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.

Campers are encouraged and welcome to participate in activities being run by Unicamp. Dances are generally held on Saturday nights and a Worship Service is held at the Spiritual Centre most Sunday mornings. Unicamp offers cave tours, campfires, talent nights and much, much more. Camp Circle in late afternoon is a time for campers to get to know one another.

The only way such a unique place can exist is if everyone appreciates the ideas that built Unicamp and works together to maintain it. Please be certain you understand what Unicamp is based on before you consider visiting us.
