Unicamp Assistant Administration Manager
The Assistant Administration Manager will embody the ideals and spirit of Unicamp. S/he will be in charge of maintaining the day-to-day records during the summer season under the direction of the Year-round Administrator or this position may be assumed as part of the Administrators portfolio and become a full-time position during the season. She/he reports to the Year-round Administrator and the Camp Director in his/her absence. The Assistant Administration Manager will also assist the Program Director and Camp Director as necessary.Responsibilities include:
- Answers inquiries by telephone, email, and mail,
- Assists in maintaining an up-to-date mailing list,
- Handles registrations for accommodation/meal bookings and camps when the Admin Manager has days off,
- Inventories and tracks essential supplies,
- Tracks equipment including first aid and emergency supplies
- Liaises with trades people during the summer season and directs them to the appropriate Senior Staff,
- Helps to develop manuals for the running of camp,
- Directs staff towards binders and ensures their availability during the season,
- Works with the Administration Manager and other tasks, assigned by the Camp Director related to supporting the other Senior Staff members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Member of a Unitarian Universalist Congregation,
- Administration and book-keeping experience,
- Familiarity with Unicamp,
- Previous camp, community, or conference centre experience,
- Good organizational skills,
- Good computer and telephone skills.
Conditions of employment and salary:
- $300 per week X 9 weeks full-time, late June to Labour Day. Specific dates to be negotiated upon signing of contract.
- Off season work to be negotiated on an individual basis,
- One and a half days off per week, not during weekends,
- Work week runs Sunday until Saturday, unless otherwise noted.
